Please join Pace University in recognizing the commitment and extraordinary service of Dean Emerita Harriet R. Feldman, PhD, RN, FAAN. Harriet joined Pace University as dean of the Lienhard School Nursing, now part of the College of Health Professions (CHP), in 1993. During her tenure, the college experienced unprecedented growth and success—enrollment doubled, 10 new majors were added, and the reputation and rigor of the academic offerings rose to new heights. Never one to shy away when responsibility called, Dean Feldman also served as interim provost and interim dean of the School of Education. Her dedication to Pace and its students is second to none. Prior to joining the Pace community, she held positions at Fairleigh Dickinson University, State University of New York at Farmingdale, and Adelphi University. Not only was she a leader within Pace University, but throughout her career she has been an outspoken champion of nursing and health education. Her service includes roles with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. And, she testified before the US Congress to convey issues surrounding the nursing faculty shortage. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, and the New York Academy of Medicine, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The Dean Emerita Harriet R. Feldman Doctoral Nursing Scholarship was established in honor of Dean Feldman’s contributions to Pace University and the larger nursing community. This scholarship will support PhD students in the College of Health Professions, addressing both the nation’s nursing shortage and nursing faculty shortage. Each year, this scholarship will ensure an education at the College of Health Professions remains within reach of any student who wants to work hard for it. The entire Pace University Community thanks Harriet for her leadership! Join us in honoring Dean Emerita Feldman's service by making a gift to the Dean Emerita Harriet R.
