Marvin Krislov Named Eighth President of Pace University

Marvin Krislov, president of Oberlin College since 2007, has been unanimously elected the eighth president of Pace University. Krislov will begin his duties as president of Pace on August 1, 2017. Krislov will succeed Stephen J. Friedman, who announced in February 2016 that he planned to step down after 13 years with Pace, including the last 10 as president. New Branding Campaign Launched

THIS IS PACE, a new campaign featuring Pace students, was recently launched to raise awareness of the Pace brand. Keep an eye out for ads on the NYC subway and in area Metro North stations. If you see an ad, take a picture and share it on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with #MyPaceMyAlmaMater for a chance to win a Pace Prize Pack!

The Selfless Eleven

Each year, the Jefferson Awards for Public Service looks for the “unsung heroes,” the selfless people who make the world a better place through volunteering and community service efforts. The Center for Community Action and Research at Dyson College is pleased to announce that eleven Pace University individuals have been selected to receive Jefferson Awards Bronze Medals for 2016–2017.

Pace University invites you to attend the annual Spirit of Pace Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 14 at the American Museum of Natural History. A special legacy tribute will honor President Stephen J. Friedman and the achievements he has made throughout his remarkable tenure at the university.

Bringing Technology and the University Experience to People with Disabilities

Dr. James Lawler '74, '02 has been a close partner of AHRC New York City for over a decade. Through the courses he teaches at Pace, hundreds of people receiving services and over 1,500 students have been partnered together in service learning projects, providing numerous benefits to all involved.

The 5th Annual Lavender Awards - our annual celebration recognizing LGBTQA contributions on campus - is on April 21 at Pace Plaza. At this event, hosted by the NYC and PLV LGBTQA Centers, LGBTQA graduating seniors are presented with rainbow tassels to wear at commencement. Nominations for Lavender Awards will be open shortly - stay tuned!

Donor of the MONTH

Dominick DiPaolo '83 is the Senior Vice President for Americas Enterprise Sales at BlackLine. As such, Dominick is responsible for leading BlackLine’s North American Enterprise Sales Team. Dominick previously served at Oracle as Product Marketing Director in the Enterprise Performance Management Global Business Unit. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pace University and an MBA from the University of Miami.

2017 Pace Athletics Hall of Fame Class Announced


Five new members will be inducted as the Class of 2017 into the Pace Athletics Hall of Fame on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Whitby Castle in Rye, N.Y. The inductees are: Chris Bayer '91 (Baseball); Luke Hirten '00 (Men's Lacrosse); James Stewart '71 (Football); Patricia Thomas '00 (Women's Tennis); and, Kim Zornow '89 (Women's Basketball). The 1976 Football Team will receive the Team of Distinction Award, while Gene Westmoreland '65 has been named the recipient of the Peter X. Finnerty Leadership Award.
