Music Mogul and Grateful Dead Devotee Speaks to Students

Les Kippel '70 returned to Pace’s New York City campus as guest speaker in an American Studies Class. The Dyson alumnus started a Grateful Dead tape trading collective that evolved into a handmade newsletter known as Dead Relix, which in turn transitioned into a full-fledged magazine, renamed Relix, and grew into a multi-million dollar business.

Schools Chancellor Discusses Challenges of Educating 1.1 Million Students at InsideTrack

New York City Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña ’88 joined President Stephen J. Friedman for a discussion on the state of education as part of Pace’s InsideTrack speaker series. The evening offered a behind-the-scenes look at running the nation’s largest and most diverse school system.

Class of 2016 inducted into Athletics Hall of Fame

On April 29, former director of athletics Joe O'Donnell, Suzette Gehl (Softball '99), Rich Johnson (Football '87), Ginny Ziogas Torreso (Women's Basketball '96), and Todd Ziogas (Men's Basketball '98) were inducted into the Pace University Athletics Hall of Fame at Willow Ridge Country Club in Harrison, NY. The 2000 Women’s Volleyball Team received the Team of Distinction Award, while President Stephen J. Friedman was named the recipient of the Peter X. Finnerty Leadership Award.

Pleasantville Athletics Facilities Openings and Dedications


Alumni, friends, students, faculty, and staff celebrated the generosity of Trustee Joseph Ianniello '90 at the grand opening of the Ianniello Field House on April 30. Immediately following, attention turned to the re-dedication of Peter X. Finnerty Field and the dedication of the Fred Calaicone Dugout.
